Mother's Day

This is a picture of Thomas and me on my first Mother's Day weekend. Brax, Thomas and I went to Birmingham to be with the Watkins. While Brax played golf I visited a couple friends. This is my friend Claire. -kaw

The Driving Range

Thomas went to driving range again to watch Dad hit range balls. He slept the whole time! :) -kaw

Baths Aren't So Bad After All

Thomas has decided that baths aren't as bad as he though. Randomly at the end of last week he stopped screaming while we bathed him. He almost smiles when we pour water over him now. He still screams when we take him out-I don't think he likes to be cold-but that's definitely an improvement! -kaw

Make Way for Ducklings

On Monday night Brax and I went to Verizon to get new phones (another long story). When we got there this family was crossing the street. (Of course I had my camera because I'm the first time mom of an almost 6-week-old.) It made me think of my Grandpa Gordy, and the book he read to us whenever we were with him, Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. It's a QUALITY book! -kaw

Ok...the last post of Thomas and me was horrible. So I took it off and put this one up instead. I think he looks SO sweet in this picture...and I don't look like I did in the other one. I know...I'm so vain!

Braces...here we come!

Thomas has been very persistent in trying to get that thumb in his mouth! He's getting a lot better at it. Apparently it's in the genes! I know the pictures are a little sketcy, but you get the point!

New Friends

For Mother's Day we went to Birmingham to celebrate with the Watkins side of the family. Thomas got to meet his second cousins Jack, Emma and Charlie. Emma was particularly interested as the evening wore on, and decided she could "hold baby" with a little help from Mom! -kaw

Deer In Headlights

Thomas LOVES to go on walks. He really likes to look around at everything around him from his carseat. In this picture we were about to go on a walk, and he was wide awake and ready! -kaw

Our Little Man

Among the clothes that Hanson gave us was this outfit. It was the first time that we'd put Thomas in anything that wasn't specifically "baby clothes." It actually made me kind of sad. I like that he's a baby! But, it was pretty cute too! -kaw

New Clothes

Brax's cousin Hanson has two boys that are just three and 1 1/2 years older than Thomas. Jack and Charlie were gracious enough to pass on a TON of their old clothes for Thomas to wear. This is one of the cutest outfits ever! Yea for hand-me-downs! -kaw

Future Masters

Thomas spent his first evening at the driving range last week. Brax wanted to go hit golf balls, and I decided to go with him. Thomas came along. He rode in the golf cart, and watched Dad play! (I'm not worth watching!) Other than being a little fussy at the end he did a GREAT job! -kaw

Exhausted

After a hard day's work of eating, sleeping and pooping sometimes Thomas is just exhausted. This is how he likes to relax. -kaw

Our First Date

While my mom was here she let Brax and me go on a date one night while she kept Thomas. It was our first time to go anywhere together without him. It was VERY exciting...we went to Cracker Barrell for dinner. :) It was nice to spend some time by ourselves together. Mom took these pictures when we got back.

The Other Uncle

Thomas has another soon-to-be uncle that he hasn't been able to meet yet. But, I felt like he should at least make it onto the blog. So, this is a really cute picture of Sally and her fiance Carlos, who will officially be Thomas' other uncle in September.

Family

Since Thomas was born all of his grandparents and aunt and uncles have come to visit in different shifts. Brax and I have had such a great time seeing everyone, and we know that everyone is way more excited to see Thomas than us. But, that's fine! We like him too! -kaw

Thomas loves to go on walks! Mom and I walked with him when she was here, and when Sally was here the three of us walked with him. Sometimes he sleeps, but sometimes he likes to look around at all the things that we're passing! -kaw
