Swing Football

Thomas and Mimi made up a new game the other day. Throw the football back and forth while Thomas was in the swing. He thought it was super fun!

So Thankful for Washing Machines!

Today we had torrential rain (of course as we were going to church!) and it made our backyard a swamp! This afternoon was gorgeous and 70, so we thought, "what a fun place to play!" We put old clothes on Thomas and let him loose. He had a great time, and LOVES the mud! You can also look at the video below which Brax figured out how to post!

Fat Tuesday

Of course, on a day when I don't have my camera in my bag there is a Mardi Gras Parade at WAL-MART!!!!!!! Complete with beads! Thomas was stunned, but he was glad to get the beads!

Kitchen

I thought I would add pictures of our kitchen. We love how it has turned out so far, but there's still lots more to do on it. We need to put trim around our back door, put some other shelves in the pantry, and put on the doors, put the vent above the microwave, as well as add our tin backsplash. Also, on the wall that has the phone on it we'll be putting a bar for extra workspace and an eat-in area.

I've finally posted pictures of our house. It's not done, but you can at least see some progress. I didn't post pictures of everything, but you can get an idea! To see the rest you'll just have to come visit!

Living Room

Our living room is great! We've actually hung pictures since I took these pictures. And I still need to scrape the paint of the windows, but it's coming along!

Laundry Room

My laundry room is great! I love it! We still need to finish the trim, hang a shelf, and hang a closet bar.

Family Room

To finish our family room we still need to hang pictures and recover our couch (we are very tired of slipcovers!). As you can see we were filling up our bookcase when I took these pictures.

Master Bedroom

Thomas' Room

We still have lots of cute things to hang on the wall in Thomas' room. And those are trash bags you see under his blinds. He got used to sleeping in such a dark room at Papa and Mimi's house, that the blinds weren't quite enough when we moved in. We have ADORABLE fabric for curtains, and Mimi is sweet enough to be making those for him with blackout liner!

Upstairs Bathroom

This is Thomas'/Guest bathroom. It had yucky shower doors, gross wallpaper and a nasty light. We scrubbed all the tile, painted the walls and the vanity, put up a new light, took down the shower doors. It feels a lot fresher!

Backyard

Our backyard is huge, which is great. It has TONS of trees which is great for shade, however it creates even more leaves and makes it REALLY hard to grow grass. There's a brick courtyard, which is partly covered with sand because the last people had an above ground pool. We also have a great covered deck that we hope to eventually make a screened porch. (As you can see it is still being used as a construction zone.)
