Iron Bowl

The Tide rolled over Auburn yesterday with a 36-0 victory. This is especially sweet since Alabama has lost the last six meetings. We had a fun time watching the game with Gram, Pops and Sally. It was also fun b/c it was Mae's first Alabama game and as you can tell from the bottom picture she was very excited about the victory. The Tide is now 12-0 and heads to Atlanta next weekend to play Florida in the SEC Championship Game.

Aunt Sally

Aunt Sally came to visit this weekend. She was very helpful with Mae and Thomas. We loved getting to hang out with her and can't wait to meet little Baby Acosta!!!
*Aunt Katey has been to see Mae a couple of times too. We'll have to get her picture soon.

Thanksgiving

We had a delightful Thanksgiving! Pops drove in for the weekend and Papa and Mimi came for Thanksgiving Dinner. We had a full house and lots of great food! We're thankful for so much, not the least of which is our families!

Big Brother

Thomas is slowly adjusting to life as a big brother. He is interested in Mae, although doesn't want to hold her. He asks about what she's doing, but mainly just continues on with his own playing. He's greatly enjoying his time with Gram! In the middle picture he's showing Mae a card she got from Aunt Jayne. (Her face isn't actually covered. It just looks that way in the picture.) In the bottom two pictures he's helping Gram make rolls and pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dinner. And on that note-Happy Thanksgiving from us!!!

1 Week

Mae has her own bear from London for her month pictures. Thomas has a bear from Hamleys and Mae now has a bear from Harrods. I tried this twice and it looks like this is all we're going to get for now. Hopefully the one month picture will be more successful.

Kim's Take

Hey Everyone! Apparently it is possible to hold a baby and type at the same time! :) I felt like I should weigh in on the last few days. The delievery went really well. We had a great nurse and that made such a difference. And I felt great right after the delivery and have continued to feel good (considering the circumstances!)

We went to the doctor yesterday and Mae is looking good! She is nursing like a CHAMP and is looking healthy!

And things are going really well at home. Thomas is being a trooper, and is semi-interested in Mae. He definitely wants to help us and is great about getting things, or taking things to the trash for us. And he is always happy to offer Mae her pacifier or tickle her. And even though we're tired we are getting some sleep! Obviously Mae doesn't sleep all night, but is doing a great job sleeping for a few hours at a time, even at night.

Thanks so much for all the prayers, emails and comments! I've been reading them and smiling even if I haven't really been responding.
