Thomas went to church for the first time today. It just hadn't worked out for us to go since he was born. We were nervous, but he did a great job in the nursury and looked oh so handsome! -kaw

A picture is worth a thousand words...

2 Months

Aunt Katey and Mimi have been pleading with me to take a picture of Thomas every month in the same chair with the same stuffed animal. I missed Month 1, but here's Month 2 with the bear that Brax and I bought for Thomas at Hamley's when we were in London for Thanksgiving.

Uncle Joel

Yesterday Joel was in town after visiting a friend in Atlanta for the weekend. He and Thomas had some quality time...including Thomas falling asleep in Joel's arms. I do believe these are the first pictures we have of Joel with Thomas where Thomas isn't screaming...

Exhausted Yet Again

Our Pet

Apparently we have a pet turtle. We've seen this guy (or girl-are there girl turtles?) twice now. He must live somewhere in our yard. We can add him to our pet bird that has made a nest in one of the boxes in our carport. -kaw

Happy Birthday

On June 1 Brax turned 26. He said that he feels like an old man. -kaw

Great Uncle Gregg

Thomas met his Great Uncle Gregg while we were in Fayetteville. There was something about him, just like Brax that calmed Thomas down. It was fun to watch! -kaw

Fayetteville

We went to Fayetteville for the first weekend in June for a family reunion. It was Thomas' first time to Fayetteville, and his first road trip (Man when you have a new baby there are TONS of firsts!). He did really well in the car, and did pretty well in Fayetteville. The first day and 1/2 that we were there he was still a little worn out from the trip, but got better! He's becoming a much calmer baby, for which we're all thankful! -kaw

Hydrangeas

Hydrangeas are one of my very favorite flowers! We have a bush here at our house, and I noticed that it was starting to bloom. I love the periwinkle colored ones, but I was mostly hoping that it wouldn't be pink. Well it turns out that it's purple...I've never seen hydrangeas this color before, but I love them! -kaw

Multi Tasking

While we were at the lake Mimi held Thomas a lot. That made Buckley feel sad, so sometimes she held them both. When you're a grandmother you're GOOD at multi tasking! -kaw

The Lake

This is Thomas' first time to the Lake. We went for Memorial Day with Brax's family. It was great to get away for a few days, and it was Thomas' first time to spend the night away from home. He did great! He got held a lot and he LOVED the deer that hang on the wall! He kept staring at all three of them and talking and cooing. -kaw

Smile!

These are the first of Thomas' smiles captured on camera. He's been smiling for a couple of weeks now, but we haven't gotten any pictures of it until now. In these he's smiling at his new fish mobile which he apparently loves! Mimi was here to witness this. -kaw
