It's in the Genes!

In case you can't tell there is a look of sheer joy on Thomas' face. Yes, he was looking at the insides of light switches, which to some is apparently riveting!

Henceforth He Shall Be Called Thomas the Toddler

I know that Thomas has really looked like a toddler for awhile now, but there's just something about this day that made me think, "wow, I don't have a baby I have a toddler" (which for the record is just fine with me!). (However I am still allowed to think of him as a baby when he has on his footed pajamas.)

Welcoming Baby Mark

This past week some of our good friends, Brent and Leigh welcomed their first baby Mark. Brax and I drove down to see them on Wednesday night. Mark is SUCH a cutie as you'll be able to tell from the pictures!

Snuggling with Papa, Mimi & Buckley

Thomas loves to snuggle with Mimi in her recliner. Usually Buckley is there too, and recently Thomas has been trying very hard to kiss Buckley! He also loves to sit at the computer with Mimi or Papa because they let him type on the computer.

Growing Boy

We can't believe how tall Thomas has gotten. We recently measured him for the first time on his growth chart. He was 32 inches at 17 and a half months.

An afternoon in the front yard

Thomas LOVES to spend time in the front yard. There are so many rocks to pick up and drop, lots of dirt to play in and airplanes flying over. These pictures are from an afternoon outside (taken with my phone). I'm sure most of you will recognize the slide as a common kids' toy. But, did you also realize that the longer two extensions of the shop vac could provide hours (no joke!) of entertainment? The other super fun thing? The mat from my car (my car seems to have an issue in which water seeps up from the bottom and we're constantly taking the mats out to dry out the carpet) is apparently a magic carpet, although Thomas has no way of knowing what that is, so who knows what he thinks he's doing. Who cares. He's having a GREAT time!

Asleep

We had to wake Thomas up from his nap for church last week.

As I NEVER dare to go in during a nap lest I should awake him early, I got to take some pictures that I usually can't.

First Real Boo Boo

The other day when I was putting some stuff in the car to run some errands Thomas fell on the driveway and skinned his knees and finger. He cried very hard, but as soon as I put the bandaids on the crying stopped. I guess they really work. (And yes I am a scrapbooker-I took a picture of Thomas' first bloody injury...)

Playtime with Daddy

South Carolina

Thomas and I went to South Carolina to visit Uncle Carlos and Aunt Sally. We had a great time and Thomas loved the dogs Onyx and Dantes! And Dantes loved Thomas too!
