Last Jar

Today Thomas had his last jar of baby food. I know it's really late for him to still be having it, but he didn't mind eating it and the pediatrician said that it was fine. We felt like it was a really good way to know that he was still getting lots of fruits and veggies. However, he didn't seem to be moving away from the baby food on his own, so Brax and I decided that it's time to move on. Things sure have changed since the day he had his first baby food on September 6, 2006!

Double Decker Bus

I saw this bus in the arcade area at Wal Mart and I had to let Thomas take a ride. Especially when I saw that one of the stops was Oxford. Pops and Gram we're on our way! Thomas is even dressed for the occasion!

Fire!

I love fireplaces! In our new house we finally have one and I am determined to have as many fires as possible during the 2 weeks that we call winter down here in the Alabama. Here are two of the fires I've had!

Cold Day Fun

So, the other day it was really cold here. And by really cold I mean a high of 30 with a windchill that was in the low 20's. Now, I know that all my northern family members will laugh when they read this, but just remember that since we don't have weather like this almost ever, we don't have gear for it either. So, we stay inside. We went to Barnes and Noble so Thomas could play with the train table, which he loves! I love it too because I can look at a book while he plays! And then we met Brax at the mall close to his office for lunch, and Thomas got to play on the playground!

Piano

We got to bring the piano from my parents' house when we came home from Christmas. The piano was bought by my mom's parents when she was in 3rd grade and has been with my parents since they got married. Joel, Sally and I all learned to play on it and I'm so excited for my old friend to be at my house now! Thomas really like to play the "bambo" also. I don't want to push him, but I would LOVE if he took piano lessons and liked it! Football players can be musical too!

Gram's Birthday

Gram's birthday often gets overlooked because it's four days after Christmas. Not this year. This year it happened to be the only day that all 8 of us were together over the holidays. We celebrated with Gram, went bowling as a family (including Thomas) and had a steak and salmon feast for dinner before opening even more presents! (The picture that you see of Sally' knee is the picture that she took as she stepped into the bowling lane, slipped and fell on her bottom!)

Christmas in Fayetteville

We spend Christmas in Fayetteville and this year got to spend a whole week there! It was packed full of fun stuff! A Christmas Eve Brunch with lots of sweet friends, the Christmas Eve Service at church, opening presents after Pops' version of the Christmas story (which included Mary and her husband David-go MDiv!), Mexican Train Dominoes with GG Richard and GG Lu on Christmas Day, and Thomas getting to play in his new Wig Wam (as they call it in the UK) from Gram and Pops!

Christmas with Mimi, Papa and Aunt Katey

Because we spent Christmas in Arkansas we celebrated early with Papa, Mimi and Aunt Katey. Thomas had a very good time opening his presents and helping us all open ours. After Thomas went to bed all the grownups had a FABULOUS dinner!

Living Christmas Tree

First Baptist Church Huntsville did the Living Christmas Tree and had a special Sunday afternoon viewing for kids. It was great and Thomas had a lot of fun! The tree was very fun to watch!
